Christmas came early for the Cordova family this year.
When I arrived at their home, I knew by the call that delivery was close. What I didn’t know is that she’d be delivering the baby as I walked in!
I remember hearing it in her voice…
I immediately knew the baby was coming, grabbed my camera out of my bag, while running up the stairs. I got to the birth tub just as she was catching her baby and got the sweetest moments documented. Abra’s Mother was present and you could feel her soul radiating with love for her family. Abra was also amazingly supported by Nikki From Gig Harbor Midwifery and Angie from The Mothership.
I also remember how Dad was so fascinated by the placenta, which was amazing to witness. Some people shy away from the amazing organ, but he wanted to learn from it.
The beautiful morning light cascaded against their bodies.
Little Soraia Willemien Cordova arrived 19 days early on December 19, 2018 at 10:54a.m.
She was born at home, in a birth tub, weighing 5 lbs 15oz and measuring 19 inches long. She was a healthy little girl and took to nursing right away.
