With photography in Washington State, we tend to have to play “The Weather Game” when scheduling sessions in the fall and winter sometimes. When is sunset? Will it be cloudy or sunny? Will it rain?!?
I LOVE it when families embrace the weather and allow it to create unique portraits for their family!
For this session, we went to a local tree farm in Kitsap County. I love seeing the trees planted in rows along the hill side. Since we had a feeling there was going to be rain, I brought my clear bubble umbrellas. I love how you can see the rain drops on the umbrellas. It adds a layer of texture and creativity to their pictures.
Josh and Amanda were such troopers about the rain with their kiddos. Their connection with each other as a family is beautiful-rain or shine! In the end, the rain worked out great. Besides, Olsen loved playing in the rain anyways.
By the way, baby Stellan, I photographed his birth! I absolutely love it when I get to see families grow!
