This is a special maternity photo shoot for Jackie…this is her rainbow baby. A rainbow baby is a baby after having a miscarriage. First, I have to say, thank you to Jackie for letting me share her story. Miscarriages are very sad and far too common. No woman should have to go through it alone in silence, which is why I asked Jackie if she could write a bit about her experience on the day of her maternity session. I usually write my own blog posts, but in this case, I thought I’d invite Jackie to share how this was different for her…
“I was a bit nervous to do this photo shoot because it was so different than a normal maternity shoot. This one represented our journey of 6 miscarriages and welcoming our second rainbow baby into the world. Ashley did a fantastic job capturing every emotion we were feeling throughout the entire session and made it look beautiful, even my crying at the beginning! Thank you so much for taking these photos that show all of the emotions which are too hard to put into words sometimes.” – Jackie
