Seabeck Family Hike

Today, I was on a mission to find the “Stump House”.

We dropped off our car for an oil change and headed out to Seabeck Washington for what I thought was a quick walk on a trail. HA! It turned into a round trip 5-mile hike in the woods – well worth it though! This preserve had the most amazing light filtering through the trees, which made some amazing sun beams.

Anytime, I can get some creative lighting in my pictures, gets me jumping for joy! We weaved in and out of trees, over roots, along the shore of the ocean, through some mud and soggy leaves THEN the stump house was within sight! We all had so much fun going inside of the stump and playing on the beach! This is definitely a location I will suggest to my adventurous families for their portrait sessions. This trail had amazing natural light, colorful trees, and lead us to the shore and stump house-big win! Bonus the kids were tuckered out afterwards and slept like logs.
